What advice would I give someone writting his/her first scientific paper?

Blog Page

The advice I would give someone is to not get over- stressed about writing the paper, becouse in most cases I think a person will start to panic or over think what they have to do in which causes nevousness and intensity about the paper. I myself at first thought okay, I am going to write a paper, a scientific paper. How am I going to approach this? What will I write about? How am I going to come up with a topic? Will the professor like the topic? So I had many questions pop into my head. Crazy, huh? I kinda had no idea where to start. So, to the best advice I would give would be to not get over excited about the essay whether it is good or bad excitement. Start to work on your essay earlier by putting yourself on a schedule. do your research early to ensure you have all the information you would like to have about the topic. brainstorm and/or put all of your initial ideas down in writing. Go to live seminar so that you can interact with your peers and the professor about the essay as the cllasses help you build up to the final paper. Ask questions to ensure you are doing what is aked of you properly. Do not over work yourself on the essay so that you feel overwhelmed. Get feedback from peers, friends, family, and etc. Pat yourself on the back for a job well done at the end, because you are most definitely worth it!! I enjoyed this Comp II class a lot. I will everyone who takes this class the best of luck in the future!!
